FICTAP is a 27 year-old and highly reputable organization that has long been instrumental in bringing entertainment and information to Filipino homes—from Batanes to Jolo. As the country’s largest non profit association of cable TV operators, FICTAP is supported by a nationwide membership network of micro, small and medium cable TV and internet providers serving various communities across the Philippines.
Over the years, our members have evolved beyond traditional cable television and have embraced the transition toward telecommunications and a wide range of value-added digital services—ensuring that Filipino consumers continue to benefit from an expanding, innovative, and future-ready digital landscape.

FICTAP held its 4th Quarter Board Meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam, alongside discussions with the Vietnam Internet Association on strengthening regional cooperation. Talks focused on potential collaboration in digital transformation, broadband development, and the formation of a sister-association partnership. VIA leaders are set to attend the 27th FICTAP International Cable Congress and Exhibit in March 2026, signaling deeper regional engagement.

The meeting with China Mobile was highly successful, fulfilling all of our requirements, particularly regarding the necessary cashing server and cost-effective bandwidth. In summary, it provided a comprehensive solution that caters to the needs of cable TV and internet providers. Additionally, China Mobile expressed a desire to establish a partnership with FICTAP.
